Final Reflection

  Have our ideas about Greece changed after working on this blog? We could say that yes, our preconceived ideas about Greece changed quite a bit during the creation of this blog. Mainly with the fact that we thought that mythology had a great influence on who the Greeks were and how they behaved. We can say that thanks to the research done we have a clearer view about this culture. What surprised us the most about Greece? When we were doing the research about nonverbal communication, we were surprised by the fact how the Greeks behaved with personal space, since they tend to be a bit disinterested in that aspect, where they can out of nowhere touch a person they don't know at all and not think it's something weird. Which is by far, very different from what we are used to because here in Colombia is something uncommon and can even be uncomfortable for people. What did we enjoy the most about the blog creation? Non-verbal communication in Greek Culture. •Personal space: In first place Greeks do not need a lot of personal space, for they is not a problem be so close to another person. For example, if you get in a public transport is probably that a strange touch your body because is not awkward for he if is not many space in the bus for example, something similar could happen if you are in a queuing, waiting for your coffee in a small cafeteria. You must be prepared to this fact that is normal for Greeks. • Physical contact: The second example is related to personal space.
